Jeffrey Allen (Sr.) Pickens

Jeffrey Allen Pickens Sr., age 59, of Salt Lake City, UT., passed away on April 1, 2025, in Salt Lake City. Jeffrey was born in Marion, OH to the late Carson Jones Sr. and Sandra Pickens, on April 5, 1965.

Jeffrey loved real estate and found joy in investing in properties. He loved to watch movies and was a big fan of what he called the “Old School” Classics. When he was younger Jeffrey loved to ride his bike. Old school music was another one of the things that brought Jeffrey joy. This love of music inspired him to become an accomplished drummer. He also loved to take his boys to the arcade when they were younger. In the warmer weather Jeffrey enjoyed his favorite past times, fishing, and always treasured the time that he and his boys got to spend together on the water. Jeffrey also loved to coach little league baseball.

Left to cherish Jeffrey’s memory are sons, Jeffrey A. Pickens Jr., Aries (Tyree) Pickens, Pocket Pickens, daughters Kamareah Elliot, and Shameka Elliot, and Salva Pickens brothers Richard Jones, Carson Jones Jr., along with 7 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins that were viewed like brothers.

Jeffrey is preceded in death by, parents and brother Juan Pickens, sisters, Patrice Jones and Cassondra Jones

Family and friends are invited to the visitation of Jeffrey on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 12p until 2pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life for Jeffrey will immediately follow the visitation with Minister Pearl Goodenow and Minister Beverly Hardman officiating.
