Jerry C Wood

Jerry C. Wood, age 86, of Morral, OH, passed away May 6, 2026, at Marion General Hospital. Jerry was born on October 10, 1939, here in Marion County to the late Clifford and Twila (Miller) Wood. Jerry married the love of his life, Marietta Morrison, in 1962. Jerry received a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern University and a master’s degree from the University of Toledo. Following his college education, Jerry taught science for more than 30 years and was a loyal and dedicated volunteer firefighter in Morral for most of his adult life. He was a talented woodworker and an incredibly skilled gardener. Jerry loved his family very much, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His calm and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his wife; daughters, Cinda (Andy) Davis and Katherine Anderson; and grandchildren, Kyle and Alex Anderson, Nick Davis and Abby (Esteban) Rosales. Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Alan Wood. Friends and family are invited to the visitation of Jerry on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 10am until 11am at the Boyd Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11am with Pastor Joe Harrison officiating. The committal service will follow the funeral procession to Grand Prairie Cemetery.
