Joan Marie Hoffman

     Joan Marie Hoffman, age 87 of Marion, OH went home to be with the Lord on December 3, 2019.  She was born in Neptune City, NJ to the late James and Jennie Holloway on October 27, 1932. 

     Joan married James F. Hoffman on May 22, 1950 at Ft. Monmouth, NJ and was a loving wife for 69 years. James is left to cherish her memory along with their five children, Sharon (Brent) Leach, Sondra Hoffman, Steven Hoffman, Sheldon “Skip” (Cheryl) Hoffman, and Jymm Hoffman.  Eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild will also deeply miss her keep her memory alive.

     Joan had many interests and was involved in many things throughout her life.  She was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed antiquing and attending car and tractor shows with her husband, traveling to visit family, historic sites and Revolutionary War reenactments.  She also loved music.

     A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on December 6, 2019 at Prospect Street United Methodist Church located at 185 S. Prospect Street in Marion, OH.  Burial will immediately follow at Chapter Heights Memory Gardens located at 2622 Marion-Upper Sandusky Rd., Marion, OH.
