Joann Layne Obituary
Joann Layne, age 75 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Community Care and Rehabilitation. On November 5, 1942, she was born to the late Luther and Susie (Webb) Endicott, and in 1959, she married her husband Clarence "Mic" Layne.
Joann regularly attended White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church, and she spent her life as a homemaker, caring for her own children and the children she babysat. She enjoyed crocheting, and she loved watching Gunsmoke and other old shows with her family. She was a very loving sister, mother, grandmother, and wife, and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband Clarence "Mic" Layne of Marion; her sons Jeff Layne of Cleveland and Scott Layne of Cardington; her siblings James (Lois) Endicott of Tennessee, Julie (Rudy) Maynard of Marion, Evelean (Tom) Golihue of Alabama, Wilburn (Charlotte) Endicott of Iney, Kentucky, Ralph (Stephanie) Endicott of Louisa, Kentucky, Howard (Emma) Endicott of Marion, Billy Endicott of Louisa, Kentucky, Helen (Tivis) Hinkle of Louisa, Kentucky, Bessie (Willie) Harrah of Marion, and Monett (Ray) Horn of Louisa, Kentucky; her grandchildren Brittany Conley, Taylor Layne, Jodi Lauren-Layne, and Jamie Layne; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Susie and her siblings Clifford Endicott, Otto Endicott, Arnold Endicott, Marie Fitch, Irene Johnson, Juanita Endicott, and Tillie Roush.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 5 PM to 7 PM at White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church, 1859 White Oaks Rd., Marion. Services will take place on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10 AM at the church. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
