Juanita L. Turner-Elsasser

Juanita L. Turner-Elsasser, age 90, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 6:59 AM in the Windmoor Assisted Living Facility. She was born in Marion, Ohio on June 8, 1931, to the late Louis E. and Minnie E. (Tinker) Kirts.  Juanita married Billy Joe Turner on July 13, 1949, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1988.  Following Mr. Turner’s death, she married Kenneth L. Elsasser on July 15, 2000, and he passed on August 22, 2004.

     Juanita was employed with Frericks & Howard Law Offices as a legal secretary for many years and retired from Central Soya. She then went back to work at the law offices for several more years.

     She is survived by two sons, Robert (Becky) Turner and Mark (fiancée; Gail Block) Turner both of Marion, OH., two daughters, Brenda (Dave) Little and Mary (Rich) Beckholt both of Marion, OH., 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Juanita was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Lee Crawford.

     Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.  Deaconess Lora Lea Dawson will conduct the funeral service with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery.  The family would like to extend a heart-felt “THANKS” to nurse Kim and the entire Kindred Hospice organization and also to the Windmoor Staff for their thoughtful care. Donations may be made to the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries General Fund in Juanita’s name.
