Judy Marie McKenzie

Judy Marie McKenzie, 86, passed away at the Marion General Hospital on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Judy was born on October 19, 1938, to her late parents, William Elbert Salmons and Katherine Watkins, in Hamden, OH. She married her late husband, Patrick Mckenzie, on September 25, 1956, in Hamden, OH.

Judy worked as a secretary for the Marion City Schools for 25 plus years. Bowling and yardwork were some of the Judy was known best for. She loved spending time with her dear family.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Jane Zinn and Ellen Thompson, brother, Carl Salmons, and her grandchild, Patrick Cody Branstetter.

She is survived by her son, David McKenzie, daughter, Kathy Branstetter, sister, Twila Bentley, her grandchild, Brandy(John McGee II) Branstetter, her great grandchildren, Steffen (Brooklyn) Branstetter, Kia Branstetter, Leila Kaser, Quenten McGee, Jasmine Branstetter, Cody Ray Branstetter, Alger Firstenberger, and Belle Branstetter, great-great grandchildren, Lillyona Wilson, Kaiden Foust, Kiyonn Branstetter, Kairos Kaser.

Judy’s family would like to invite her loved ones and friends to the Boyd Funeral Home on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will be on the same day at 11:30 a.m. The interment service will take place immediately after the funeral service at the Marion Cemetery. Rev. Mike (_____) will be officiating all services.
