Karen Sue Apthorp, 63, was called to heaven on May 29th, 2026. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio on March 29, 1963, to the late Reverend Clyde Knipp Sr and Joyce Knipp Bradford. She Married the Love of her life, Bernie Apthorp on February 14, 1985.
Maw-Maw Karen was entirely devoted to her Family and friends. Her grandchildren were the center of her universe. Karen was the definition of selfless love, always a helping hand. Affectionately known as Granny (Aunt) Karen, Her legacy will always be the love she poured out onto everyone.
Left to cherish her memory are her Daughters; Sarah Apthorp and Samantha (Anthony) Adams. Her grandchildren; Peyton Apthorp, Will Adams, and Audrey Adams. Brothers; Clyde (Andi) Knipp, Chris Knipp Sr., Sister; Kim (Wendell) Fields, and special cousin (more like her big sister); Gaytha Trent, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her father and mother, Rev. Clyde Knipp Sr. and Joyce Knipp Bradford. Her in-laws; Bernard and Ethel Apthorp. Her beloved niece; Sonnie Knipp Wyatt, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
