Keith Stevens Obituary
Keith W. Stevens, age 58, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at his home, surrounded by family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Keith was born on March 4, 1958 in Pikeville, KY, to the late Kelly W. Stevens and Jetty Pearl Justice, who still survives. After graduation from Pleasant High School, Keith began working for Armco Steel. In 1985, he began his 26-year career with AEP, where he was an accomplished line man specializing in transmission line work. Keith had many, many friends of all ages. He was a wonderful, fun-loving man who never met a stranger and a devoted father to his two children, Kelly and Elizabeth, and his grandchildren, Ethan and James. Like his father, he had been a member of the Masons for many years. Many of the young kids looked to Keith as a father figure and role model. They shared in his passion for cars and the Cleveland Browns.
Keith is preceded in death by his father Kelly W. Stevens, his two infant sisters Sherry and Sheryl Stevens, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
He is survived by his mother Jetty; his two sisters Teresa (James) Meade and Chasity Varney; his son Kelly Nathan; his daughter Elizabeth Diane Campbell; his two grandchildren Ethan and James; his three nephews Ben (Terri) Meade, Gabe Varney, and Simon Varney; his two nieces Jordan (Jason) Kight and Gillian (David) Hostetter, all of Marion; and one great-niece, three great-nephews, and many other beloved friends and family.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 12 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Stewart officiating.
