Kenneth Kendal King

Kenneth Kendal King was born October 19, 1974 in Marion, OH to Willie F. King and Virginia (Johnson) King.  Kenny graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1992 and participated in football and track throughout his high school years.  After graduation, he attended Defiance College where he also played football and ran track before earning an Associate degree in Applied Science from Marion Technical College.  Kenny worked for more than 10 years as a barber and was employed at Fresco Cuts.

Kenny departed this life on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at his home. He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia (Johnson) King; his brother, Todd Gibson; and his sister, Genna Terry.

Left to cherish his memory are his father and stepmother, Willie and Laura King; his sons, Anthony Hickman and Amani King; his daughter, Virginia King; brothers, Karlos King and Torrence Floyd; grandchildren, Layana Hickman and Kayleana King; nephews, Christopher Wood, Todd Gibson, Jr., AJ Woodard, and Aaron King; nieces Andrea Woodard, Ivy Reidlinger, and Alexis Hamilton; extra special cousin, Mattie King-Ross; special friends, Robert Holmes, PJ McGeorge, Cedrec Holmes, Becian Faggs, Reggie Bonner; and a host of many other relatives and friends.  Kenny will be missed by all who knew him, especially his lifetime partner and friend, Kim Hickman.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 10-11 am at The Boyd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will proceed immediately following at 11 am.
