Kenneth E. Postell, aged 75, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on March 28, 2025. Ken was born in Marion, Ohio, on May 9, 1949, to the late Francis H. and Thelma (Kohler) Postell. He was a graduate of the Marion Harding High School Class of 1967. On May 9, 2000, he married Charlotte (Carter) Young. Ken was a Mechanical and Liaison Engineer at Marion Power Shovel for more than 40 years and was also employed at Fairfield Engineering. After his retirement from engineering, Ken enjoyed his time as a school bus driver and an On-Board Instructor with Marion City Schools for more than 10 years.
Ken was also a two-term Marion City Fourth Ward Councilman who worked diligently on his passion for recycling. Ken attended and was active at Crosswood United Methodist Church. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. Outside of his love for cars, Ken enjoyed going to flea markets with his wife where he would search for antique toys, clocks, watches, and radios that he would study and repair. He was known for his ability to fix almost anything and bring new life to long-forgotten mechanical items. Ken will be missed by many in the Marion community.
