LaTaunce Akki Bristel, 52, of Kenton, OH, passed away on June 1, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1973, in Marion, OH to his parents, Edward and Nina (Collier) Bristel. He would find his loving wife, Courtney, and they would go on to get married on October 23, 2017.
LaTaunce was a hard-working man that loved his family. He loved to help his wife with their farm with whatever she needed around their property. Courtney and LaTaunce loved to travel all over with each other. He graduated from college with a degree in graphic design. He had a true talent for drawing and painting. His artistry didn’t stop there, he also enjoyed playing drums. He liked all kinds of music.
LaTaunce is survived by his wife, brother, Nathan (Dani) Bristel, sister, Carmella (Farley) Banks, step-son, Cameron Jakopovic, step-daughter, Laci Freshour, nieces and nephew, Jaede (Melvin), Addisyn, and Kaden Bristel, step-grandchild, Braxton Collins, and he leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Bristel family would like to invite all who knew La Taunce to join them for calling hours on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Officiating the service will be Patrick Demuth.
