Larry Douglas Evans, age 64, of Marion, OH, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Marion General Hospital. He was born February 21, 1961, in Grethel, KY, to the late Ed Jr. Evans and Darcus (Moore) Evans.
On January 2, 2015, Larry married Angela in Marion, OH, where they shared a wonderful life together. The two enjoyed spending time riding motorcycles and three-wheelers, taking their dogs for walks, and relaxing side by side on their front porch swing. Larry and Angela shared a special love for waterfalls, often seeking out new ones to visit together.
Larry retired in 2011 but later took a part-time job as a maintenance worker at the Marion Mall. He truly enjoyed his work there because it gave him the opportunity to meet and interact with new people, a reflection of his friendly, easygoing nature. He continued working until his health began to decline.
In addition to his devoted wife, Angela Evans, of Marion, Larry is survived by his sons; Daren (Antonia) Evans, David (Janisha) Evans, and Curtis Evans, all of Marion, OH, Nathan Fown of Clarksville, Tennessee, and his daughters; Christina (Cambray) Carwell of Marion, OH, and Alison (Avery) Cox of Marion, OH.
He is also survived by ten beloved grandchildren: Aidan, Jaxson, Alan, Sidnay, Chanelle, McKenzie, Connor, Nolan, Gracie, and Jaylen.
Larry had a deep love for animals, especially his dogs, Bandit and Keagen, who were his loyal companions and brought him tremendous joy throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Burrins Evans, and his sister, Norma Hamilton.
Larry will be remembered for his kind heart, love of family, and joyful spirit that brightened the lives of all who knew him.
