Obituary
Larry Douglas Hughes, age 66 of Marion, passed away peacefully in his favorite recliner on Friday, May 5, 2023. On April 1, 1957, he was born in Prospect to the late Miles B. and Betty (Gilmore) Hughes, and on April 26, 1975, he married the love of his life, Debra (Armbruster).
Larry worked as a crane operator for Penry Stone for many years. He loved watching NASCAR and spending time with his family, and he enjoyed fishing back in the day.
He is survived by his wife Debra Hughes; his daughter Christie Hughes; his grandson Hayden Thomas; his siblings Rick, Rebecca, Melissa, Lori, and Ben; special brother-in-law Jim Armbruster; sister-in-law Shana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Miles and Betty Hughes, 3 siblings, and his mother-in-law “Granny” Betty Keirns.
Per Larry’s wishes, he just wanted simplicity. No services will be observed.
