Lester "Les" Eugene Yager

Lester “Les” Eugene Yager, age 85 of Marion, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Legacy Of Marion.

Les was born on January 5, 1939 to the late Edward and Susie (Linn) Yager in Marion, Ohio.  On November 17, 1990, he married Margaret Crace in Marion, Ohio.

Les graduated from the 1958 class of Claridon High School.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of #70 and of Peace Community United Church.  Also, he was a part of the Pleasant, Prospect and Marion Senior Centers.  He also own and operated Yager Electric since 1966. Margaret and him enjoyed camping and getting season tickets for OSU Basketball games.  He will truly be missed by family and friends.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaret Yager and his two brothers: Harry and Charles Yager.

Those who will cherish his memories include his brother, Jerry Yager of Marion, Ohio; his son, Frank Test of Columbus, Ohio; his stepsons: Scott Crace of Marion, Ohio and Jon Crace of Meeker, Ohio; his stepdaughter, Sharon (Mike) Christian of Edison, Ohio; his four step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.

Family and friends may come to honor Les’s life from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Boyd Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow starting at 1pm at the funeral home with Reverend Joel Fetter officiating.  A burial will follow the funeral service at Marion Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Les’s memory to Peace Community United Church, 4061 Columbus-Sandusky Road South, Marion, OH 43302.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Yager family.
