Lilly B. Lester

Lilly B. Lester, 98, of Marion, OH, passed way at the Kingston Assisted Living facility on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Lilly was born on November 22, 1926, to her late parents, Samuel House and Fannie Silveous, in Cumberland, MD. She would go on to get married to Clifford W. Lester, on November 26, 1946, in Marion, OH.

Lilly was a homemaker and a seamstress before retiring. Being a woman of faith, she attended the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She also was a part of the social groups American Legion #584 and the V.F.W. as an auxiliary member.

Lilly is preceded in death by her parents, husband, children; Curtis A. (Patricia) Lester, her brothers, Bill, Doug, John, and Sam, sisters; Vida, Rose, and Marie.

She is survived by her son, Charlton “Chuck” E (Debra) Lester, her brothers; Tom House, George Bucklew, and Tim House, her sister, Ruth (John) Crabtree, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nephews and nieces.

The Lester family will be having a graveside service at the Grand Prairie Cemetery on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 1 p.m. Pastor Joe Harrison will be officiating the graveside service. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to the American Heart Association.
