Lonnie R. Daniels, age 77 of Marion, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Marion General Hospital. He was born on October 20, 1946 in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Lonnie and Monrova (Elam) Daniels.
Lonnie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He began in the construction industry as Lonnie’s Mobile Home Service, which later became Scioto Builders. He was also a crane operator at Whirlpool for 48 years. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and wouldn’t miss a game, but above all else, he was known as a charitable man. He helped people whenever he could. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Deb (Hejduk) Daniels; his sons Josh (Danielle) Daniels and Lonnie B. (Susan) Daniels; his daughters Saretta (James) Holdcroft and Monica Howard; his sisters Judy Carmen and Marsha Regimbal; his grandchildren James Boyd Daniels, Lyra Daniels, Della Daniels, Makayla Starr, and Griffon Holdcroft; and his great-grandchildren Gracelyn and Clara Starr.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Monrova Daniels.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Green Camp Cemetery.
