Loretta Lou Postell

Loretta Lou Postell, 52, of Marion, OH, passed away on July 26, 2025. Loretta was born on September 15, 1972, to her late parents, Orville Zornes and Nancy Sharp, in Marion, OH. She married her loving husband, Robert Postell, III, in Marion on July 5, 1996. Loretta worked at Verizon at the customer service center for 17 years, before retiring. Loretta graduated from Marion Harding High School. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, collecting rocks and bird watching. She also loved plants, flowers, and gardening. Loretta also liked to read and to do genealogy. A keeper of memories, she also was an avid scrapbooker. Loretta She had a soft spot in her heart for her cats and dogs. Above all, she loved her family and getting to meet her grandbaby.

Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Kathy Clark.

She is survived by her parents-in-law, Robert Postell, Jr. and Tada Postell, her son, Nick (Amber) Postell, brothers, Lester (Bessy) Zornes, Eric Postell, sisters, Cynthia Vulgamore, Grace Ferrin, and Dorinda (Benny) Evans, her grandchild, River Postell, and her special friends, Tiffiany Vehrs, Angie Eater, and Elizabeth Ward.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on September 13, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Woods Pavilion. There will be an interment at the Grand Prairie Cemetery on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. Pastor Brittany Goad will be officiating all services. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Postell family in their time of need. In lieu flowers, donations can be made to the America Cancer Society.
