Loyd T. Fisher, age 70, of Marion passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at his residence. He was born in Marion, Ohio on January 7, 1948 to the late Farrel and Loretta Jean (Brandt) Fisher. Loyd married the former Patricia A. Chapman in Marion, Ohio on June 6, 1970 and she survives in Marion. Also surviving are a son; Kevin (Rachel) Fisher of Marion, OH., a daughter; Ami (Brad) Spriggs of Marion, OH., a brother; Larry (Patricia) Fisher of Marion, OH., seven grandchildren: Tyler, Kayleigh, & Jenna Burris,Tessa & Carter Spriggs, and Wade & Emilia Fisher and two great grandchildren; Kamden & Everleigh Burris. He graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1966 and served in the U.S.Army during the Vietnam War. Loyd was employed with the Marion City Police Department from 1973 - 1998 as an officier. After his retirement, Loyd went on to work at Office Depot for several years. No visiting hours will be observed. A private family memorial service will be held and burial will be at a later date.
