Marilyn Kay "Cookie" Tillman

Marilyn Kay “Cookie” Tillman, age 76 of Shelby, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Ohio Health Shelby Hospital in Shelby, Ohio.  She made her home for many years in Mt. Victory and spent some years in Richwood.
“Cookie” entered into this world on October 17, 1943 to the late Clayton and Auttie (Sanders) Rivers in Marion, Ohio.  Everyone who knew her, enjoyed her fun-loving and carefree spirit.
“Cookie” enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards and games, singing and dancing.   She loved spending time with her family.  She loved her family dearly.  Her children, grandchildren were her true joys.   She will truly be missed by family and friends.
“Cookie” was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Josephine White, Floretta Foust, Ruby Hildreth, Eulah Baker and Ann Williamson; and her brothers: Roger Rivers and Russell Rivers.
On July 15, 1968 she married Keith Tillman of Mt. Victory.  They divorced in 1993 and he preceded her in death.
Those who will cherish her memories include her children: Allison (Walt) Hamilton of Richwood, OH and Clay (Michelle) Tillman of Marion, OH; step-children Cindy Tillman, Jeff(Melissa) Tillman and Cheryl (Aldon) Lowe;  her sister: Peggy Moore of Marion, OH; her brother: Clayton “Sparky” (Diane) Rivers of LaRue, OH; her grandchildren: Samantha Hamilton, Alexandria Schaber, Jacquelynne Haycox, Ryleigh Tillman and Kaycee Tillman; her great grandchildren: Avianna Schaber, Zayden Schaber and Ronan Schaber.  She had numerous nieces and nephews which she adored.
Friends and family may come to honor her life on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 2pm to 3pm at the Christ the Rock Church, 8653 Donovan Road, Radnor, OH 43066.  A memorial service will start at 3pm at the Christ the Rock Church with Pastor Dale Baker officiating.  Donations may be given in her memory to  Shelby Pointe  100 Rogers Lane, Shelby, Ohio 44875.
