Obituary

Mark Carroll Weddell, age 65 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Marion General Hospital. He was born on October 6, 1956 in Marysville, Ohio, to the late Thomas and Helen (Matlack) Weddell.

Mark worked at Whirlpool Corp. for 33 years, and he was a member of the Moose, the Legion, and the VFW. He enjoyed woodworking and working on computers, as well as riding his Harley.

He is survived by his fiancée Tana Jean Britton; his sons Mark (Lora) Weddell II and Drew (Ashley) Weddell; his grandchildren Brittany (Ben), Brooke (Brandon), Brandy (Devonn), Mark III (Nicole), Kaylee, Donovan, and Amaya; and his great-grandchildren Moxen and Mattix.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 1 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Mark’s honor, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675, or to the family to help cover the costs of funeral expenses.
