Marlena Kaye Jordan

Marlena Kaye Jordan, 78, of Upper Sandusky, OH, passed away at the OSU Wexner Center on January 5, 2022. On April 2, 1943, the late James Roscoe Reynolds and Grace Leberta Connors welcomed her into the world in Centerburg, OH. She would join the late Franklin D. Jordan, Sr. in marriage on December 6, 1968, in Upper Sandusky, OH, before losing him on March 17, 1994.

Marlena worked as a Switchboard Operator for Marion General Hospital for 18 and a half years before retiring. She was very family oriented and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed celebrating every important day to those who she was closest with, often sending cards. She would even call her loved ones and sing happy birthday to them on the phone. She attended every family reunion she could make it to. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, watching western movies (specifically anything with John Wayne), and writing poetry.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Marlena is survived by her sons; Larry J. (Pamela) Gilcrhist of Sycamore, OH, Dale A. Gilchrist of Peoria, AZ, Randy C. (Shawnna) Jordan of Marysville, OH, and Franklin D. (Patti) Jordan, Jr. of Cleveland, OH, daughters; Mallie “Francis” Jordan of Nevada, OH, Angela (Matt) Albright of North Royalton, OH, and Melissa (William) Truee of Chillicothe, OH, brothers; James L. Reynolds of Howard, OH, Franklin D. (Auddie) Reynolds of Mt. Vernon, OH, Ned C. (Barb) Reynolds of Nicheville, FL, and Joseph R. (Crystal) Reynolds of Obetz, OH, sisters; Mary Louise Milligan of North Canton, OH, and also her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to invite Marlena’s loved ones to her visitation held at the Boyd Funeral Home on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 12 to 1 p.m. The funeral service will start immediately following visitation. The interment service will be held at the Rich Hill Cemetery in Centerburg, OH, following the service. There will be no procession to the cemetery.
