Marlon Antione Pickens

Marlon Antione Pickens, age 35 of Marion, left to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 15, 2021.
Marlon was born on May 23, 1986, to Ellen Pickens and James Robert Jackson here in Marion.
He was Baptized in the Lord’s name at King’s Temple Apostolic Church. Choosing quality of
life over quantity was what Marlon did. He could be seen enjoying music almost any hour of the
day. He did not care about the genre and would listen to just about anything that caught his ear.
Marlon was never married or had children, but he is survived by his Mother, Ellen Pickens,
Grandmother, Patricia Pickens, 3 brothers; Toi Pickens, Tony Barksdale, Terrell Barksdale and
nieces; Takira Pickens, Brooklyn, Faith, A’malakia, and Leighton Barksdale and Sara Metz, his
best friend Steven Simkins, AKA Bo; Aunts, LuEtta Pickens, Martis Pickens, Christina Pickens
of Marion, OH, Clarissa (Ronald) Crowder, of Delaware, OH; Uncles Darrell (Lynn) Middleton
of Lakeshore, MI and a host of Cousins and Friends.
He was preceded in death by Curtis Pickens, grandfather; and Tim Crawford, step-father.
The Family will be having visitations on Friday, July 23, 2021, at King’s Temple from 11 a.m. to
12 p.m. located at 267 Senate St, Marion, OH 43302 The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m.
There will be an internment service at the Marion Cemetery following the service.
