Marsha Miller Obituary

Marsha Jean Miller, 82, of LaRue, OH, passed away peacefully in the care of the Embassy of Marion after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Marsha was born on October 29, 1942, to the late Harry C. and Dorothy I (Boyer) Lee in Kenton, OH. She went on to marry Henry W. Miller in Indiana on July 11 th, 1965. They would be married for almost 50 years until his passing on February 14, 2015.

Marsha was a 1960 graduate of LaRue High School. After graduation, in 1963, she bought a restaurant in LaRue called “Mel Bar,” which she ran for a few years. She then went to work at
Tecumseh and later worked at International Paper for 17 years before retiring in 2004. She was a woman with a personality. She had a sense of humor and was known to be goofy and ornery. She loved to have a good time and play a lot of practical jokes. She enjoyed reading, card games, BINGO, and writing poetry. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, no matter the sport. She loved to cook and bake, especially during the holidays. As a woman who loved her family, her grandchildren were her world, and she loved spending time with them.

Marsha is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers; Dick, Tom, Bill, Mike, and Howard Lee, her sisters; Mary-Margaret Haberman, Marilyn Thomas, and Katy Boles.

Her sons survive her; Henry and Tom Miller, daughters; Karen (Doug Persinger) Stover, and Jeanne Wardlaw, her sisters; Marjorie Schorr, and Tina (Eddie) Misavage, her grandchildren; John H. Wardlaw, Nicki Stover, Peyton (Colin Hart) Miller, Henry M. (Tahlsa Bowshier) Miller, and 9 great-grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Burial will follow also at a later date at the Miller Family Cemetery near Waterloo, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marsha’s honor to the Alzheimer's Association of America Central Ohio’s Chapter.
