Mary Ann Hawkins

Mary Ann Hawkins, age 74 of Marion, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Marion Pointe Nursing Home. On April 29, 1948, she was born in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Frank and Genevieve (Elkins) Orcena, and on October 27, 1984, she married her late husband and the love of her life, Randall Ray “Randy” Hawkins.

Mary was a fun-loving woman who always wore a smile. She worked for Domino’s in the 1970’s, then Tecumseh, and eventually, she retired from Verizon after 10 years with them. She loved her cat Lily and her dogs Jack and Bill as well as her travels to Hawaii, and she was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She never missed a game. She drove a 5-speed Mustang like a boss, and she always enjoyed her Italian family reunions and drinking margaritas with her friends.

She is survived by her son Michael Davis; her step-daughter Toni Kell; her sister Carla R. O’Brien; her grandchildren Jeremy Davis, Mallory Redmon, and Nathan and Shelby Kell; her great-grandchildren Kaden, Kindall, and Kasson; her nieces Dominique O’Brien, Sonya Ielmorini, Jacqi Kopp, Jinger Orcena, Jade Orcena, and Jalia Orcena; and her close friend of many years, Tammy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Randy Hawkins; her parents Frank and Genevieve; her daughter Julie Davis; and her brother Michael Orcena.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 12 pm to 1 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place at 1 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Marion Cemetery.
