Maxine Evelyn Bailey

Maxine Evelyn Bailey, age 90 of Green Camp, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at her residence.

Maxine was born to the late Edward and Bernice (Jerome) Beachum in Marion, Ohio. She married the late Richard L. Bailey in Marion, Ohio on April 22, 1954.

Maxine enjoyed reading, crocheting, baking and growing flowers around her home. She was a long time member of the Green Camp United Methodist Church where she enjoyed time with the UMC Women. Maxine was an avid supporter of her grandchildren at their various activities growing up and spent time volunteering at the former Green Camp branch of the Marion Public Library. She will truly be missed by family and friends.

Those who will cherish her memories include her daughters: Terry Bailey of Green Camp, Ohio and Becky (David) Marshall of Marion, Ohio; her grandchildren: Sam “Lee” (Rachel) Marshall and Amanda (Dan) Berry; her great grandchildren: Katrina Marshall, Damon Marshall, Zivah Berry and Zalyah Berry.

Friends and family may come to honor Maxine’s life from 1pm to 2pm on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Boyd Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow starting at 2pm at Boyd Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Freshour presiding.  Burial will follow the funeral service at Green Camp Cemetery.  Donations may be given in Maxine’s memory to the cause of the donor's choice.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Bailey family.
