Michael Leo Keeton

Michael (Mike) Leo Keeton, age 71, passed away at his home on January 13, 2025. Mike was born February 2, 1953, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Ren and Martha (Phillips) Keeton. Mike was a graduate of Marion Harding High School with the class of 1971. 

Mike was an Ohio sports fanatic, and would cheer on the Browns, Indians, Reds and of course the Ohio State Buckeyes. Being a graduate from Harding High, he also loved to cheer on the Prexies under the Friday night lights. Mike enjoyed talking with and spending time with the people he loved. 

 Mike is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Randy Keeton and Paul (Gene) Keeton. 

Left to cherish the memories of Mike are his brother, Jeff (Becky) Keeton and sister Renee (Marv) Slowinski. Nieces Heather (Kyle) Hunt, Stacey Keeton (Josh Arthur) and nephews, Chad (Farah), Toby (Audrey) and Cory Keeton. Great nieces, Reese Hunt and Caroline Keeton, great nephews Ethan Arthur, Cullen, and Shawn Keeton. Mike also leaves behind his companion, Patty and his very supportive cousin and friend, Ronnie Phillips.  Mike was also fortunate to be a part of a big extended family with many cousins. 

The graveside service will take place at The Historic Marion Cemetery on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 2pm with cousin, Rev. Steve Phillips officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s honor can be made to the donor’s charity of choice. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mike Keeton in their time of mourning.
