Michael Gregory Tennar

Michael Gregory Tennar, age 77, a lifelong resident of the Marion area, passed away on October 10, 2024. Michael was the oldest son of the late Roland and Barbara Tennar of
Marion, Ohio. Michael was born in Marion OH on his father’s birth date, February 25. Michael is preceded in death by his wife Charlene, his sister Susan K. Tennar, and his brother Joseph Tennar.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Dana) Hughes of Marion OH, Dara (Shawn) Lawhun of Marion OH, Mikkaila Tennar of New Bloomington OH, his son Shawn (Kelly) Weiser of Marion OH, his brothers Pat (Emma) Tennar of Marion OH, Ted “James” (Tina) Tennar of Waldo OH, Jack (Kathy) Tennar of Tabernacle NJ, and sister-in-law Angelia Tennar, Marion OH. Michael had ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Michael was the owner of Tennar Trikes in the 1970s and 1980s; and later worked as a truck driver for nearly 20 years. Early in life, Mike demonstrated a natural affinity and
aptitude towards mechanical activities. As a young man, he tinkered with bicycles, motorcycles and cars. He loved spending time in his shops, customizing and repairing
three and five wheeled motorcycles (trikes) as well as cars and trucks. He and his brother Ted, designed and produced over 120 trikes. Initially for personal use, then later as part
of the Tennar Trikes business. Although in pain from his many physical ailments, Mike was always personable and loved to laugh and joke. He will be missed by his family and
all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours at the Boyd Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Calling hours will also be held Friday, October
18, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Following the funeral service, there will be a procession to the Agosta cemetery. An interment service
will be held at the cemetery. Rev. Ken Tennar will be officiating all services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Marion Enterprise Baptist Church 130 Orton
St., Marion OH 43302.
