Nancy L. Addis

     Nancy L. Addis, age 86, of Caledonia, OH. went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 1:00 AM from the Legacy of Marion. She was born on May 11, 1938 in Marion, Ohio to the late Harold “Pete” and Carrie (Rogers) Dorfe. Nancy married Charles Hobart Addis on December 5, 1958 in Marion, Ohio and he survives. She is also survived by 2 sons, Lynn (Carol) Addis of McKinney, TX. & Phillip Addis of Knoxville, TN., 2 daughters, Miriam (Bruce) Williams & Rebekah (Travis) Russell both of Knoxville, TN., 3 brothers, John Dorfe of PA., Bob Dorfe of Zanesville, OH., & Pete Dorfe of Marion, OH., a sister, Betty (Walt) McCafferty of Marion, OH., 12 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Marlene Kelly, Lois Eaton, and Glenna Dorfe.

     Nancy was a member of the Family Life Church. She entered nursing school directly from high school and became a registered nurse in 1959. Her employment included working as a RN with the Marion General Hospital, Community Hospital, and becoming a traveling nurse in 1984 until her retirement.

     A graveside service will be held in the Marion Cemetery on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM with Beth Meadows officiating. Donations in Nancy’s name may be given to the Family Life Church. A "Very Special Thanks" goes out to the staff & nurses at Legacy of Marion for their very special care!
