Nancy Lee Higgins

Nancy Lee Higgins (Lehman), 82, of Marion, OH, passed away peacefully at her residence in the comforting care of Gentiva Hospice on December 8, 2025. Nancy was born to her late parents, Howard Nelson Lehman and Naomi Francis Darnell, in Marion on January 3, 1943. She later would meet her loving husband, Larry Williard Higgins, Sr. and they would get married on June 23, 1959. They would remain married until Larry’s passing in 2009.

Nancy worked as a customer service provider for F.C.A. for 35 plus years before retiring. She was a family woman who devoted her free time and love to her husband, children and grandchildren. Flowers were her biggest passion, and she loved planting
and gardening. She also had a knack for cooking and baking, often preparing food for family get togethers. Nancy also enjoyed being outdoors and traveling to places like Hickory Grove, Lake Erie, Marble Head and River Bend.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Tammy Sue Weldon (2023).

She leaves her memories and traditions with her children; Larry “Bud” W. (Patty White) Higgins, Jr., Steve L. Higgins, and Shawn P. Higgins, sisters, Joyce Fair and Cheryl Warren, many grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There are no services at this time, but Nancy will be laid to rest at the Green Camp Cemetery at a later date. The Higgins family would like to give a special thank you to the care and compassion of Gentiva Hospice. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Higgins family through this tough time.
