Natalie V. Rhoades age 90 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Marion General Hospital surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born April 7, 1928 to the late Samuel N. and Lillie (Oliver) Hartley. On March 9, 1946 she married William D. Rhoades, together until he died on June 16, 2018. She was always excited to make it known that she was married 72 years to a "wonderful man."
Natalie was a faithful member of Church of Christ in Christian Union for over 50 years, Monette Mother's Study Club for over 20 years and Ladies Missionary Circle. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working puzzles, making apple butter, spending time with her family and talking with anyone she met.
She is survived her children, Michael D. Rhoades of Navarre, FL., Pamela S. (Clyde) Ebert of Waldo, OH., Patricia D. (Bob) Wilkinson Kidwell of Morrow, OH., Sandra L. (Phil) Bowling of Marion, OH., Gail J. (Steve) Kidwell of Prospect, OH., son-in-law, Jim Conway of Marion, OH., 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Natalie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Steven D. Rhoades, her daughter, Marsha K. Conway, daughter in law, Vicki Rhoades, 5 sisters, Ruth, Sue, Florence, Lorraine, Olive and 7 brothers, Lawrence, Charles, Vaughn, Woodrow, Nelson, Adrian and Estes.
We the Family will sadly miss her and know it will be our great loss. We celebrate and honor the love she taught us and we will continue to let it live through us and our families. Visitation for Natalie will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 11AM to 1 PM at Church of Christ in Christian Union, 1709 Bellefontaine Ave. Marion, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM at the church with Pastor Wesley Craker officiating. Burial will take place at Grand Prairie Cemetery. The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.
