Nedelka Parker

     Nedelka Parker, age 91, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 10:35 AM. She was born February 9, 1931 in Garrett, Kentucky' the daughter of the late Mike and Nola (Prater) Griffin. Nedelka married Cecil Parker in Pilgrim, Kentucky on September 20, 1987 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 2021 in Marion, Ohio.

     Nedelka enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and traveling. She was a hard worker and very independent. She retired from Swift after serving 20 years. She was devoted to her family, to which she was the center of.  She would cook everything from scratch, and there was always enough for everyone. Her true joy in life however was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Danny Workman of Lake City, FL. and Barry Workman of Marion, OH., two daughters, Rhonda Workman of Marion, OH. and Sharon Pendley of Jasper, AL., a sister, Ethel Messer of Wayne, W. VA., two stepdaughters, Cindy Milder of Stevens Point, WI. and Diane McCann of Cicero, IL., grandchildren, Michael Mayse, Arthur Mayse, Richard Mayse, William Mayse, Cory Workman, Holly Wiedenhoft, Kalee Heipp, Edward Workman, Michelle Workman, Melissa LaBounty, Tracey Moisant, Michael, Christina, Thomas, Shannon McCann, and numerous great & great great grandchildren including Janie Mayse. Nedelka was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cecil, two sons, Gerald  and Michael Workman, a grandson, Stephen Workman, six brothers, and three sisters.

     Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Rev. Nathan McBeth will conduct the funeral service on Wednesday in the funeral home at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
