Patricia Ann Carey

Patricia Ann Carey, 89, a lifelong resident of Marion, OH, passed away in the care of Kingston Assisted Living Facility and Capital City Hospice on March 26, 2025. Patricia was born to Walter W. Johnson and Mae Fetter (both deceased) on November 16, 1935. She would go on to marry the love of her life, “Don” Franklin D. Carey, in Marion at Emanuel Lutheran Church, on August 24, 1957. They would be together until Don passed away on May 15, 2022.

Patricia was a homemaker for most of her life and lived for her family and loved ones. She was a kind-hearted and gentle person who was loved by all. She had a passion for music and enjoyed singing. She sang in the Sunday School choir and at the WMRN radio station with a local group.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Gene Johnson, and her sister Mary Bauldauf.

Patricia is survived by her son Craig (Danielle) Carey and grandchild Jonathan Carey.

There are no services at this time. The Carey family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of both Kingston Assisted Living and Capital Hospice. Donations in Patricia’s name may be made to either facility. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Carey family in their time of need.
