Patricia Foreman Obituary

Patricia Sue “Pat” Foreman passed away peacefully at home on November 21, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born on December 5, 1949, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Richard Leroy Drollinger Sr. and Garnet Francis (Belford) Drollinger.

Pat attended Marion Harding High School and throughout her life cherished the special bond she shared with her grandmother, Margaret Ellen Belford. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Ira C. Foreman; her infant sister, Kim Ann Drollinger; her sister, Tina Marie Drollinger; and her brother, Richard Leroy Drollinger Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Victoria Clapsaddle of Kenton, Ohio; and by her five children: Jeffery A. Elliott; Richard E. Elliott and his wife, Lettie; Tammy Bannister and her husband, Ralph; Tony E. Foreman and his wife, Barbara; and Emma Foreman-Zechiel. Pat also leaves behind many grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Richard and Amanda Elliott; Megan Ulsh, Katelyn and Benjamin Beekman; Brianna, Shelby, Alex, and Patricia Foreman; and Alessa and Sophia Zechiel. She took exceptional pride in her grandson Richard “Richie” Elliott’s dedicated military service in the Ohio National Guard.

Pat loved animals, especially horses and dogs, and was happiest on her farm. In her younger years she devoted herself to riding, rescuing, and caring for her horses. She treasured the woods surrounding the farm and spent many days outdoors simply enjoying nature. Pat worked as a rural carrier for the Columbus Dispatch and the Marion Star from 1988 to 2000, but her most valued role was creating a loving home for her family and caring for the countless animals that were part of her life.

One of her proudest accomplishments came later in life when she worked as an O.T.R. truck driver with her husband Ira at Freedom Enterprises in Foracre, Ohio from 2000 to 2007. After retiring in 2007, she embraced being a grandmother with joy, often taking her daughter Emma and her grandchildren on memorable trips in the truck to the Carolina coast and Florida.

Pat will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and deep devotion to family. Her love for her children, grandchildren, animals, and the land she called home will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
