Paul Holsinger Obituary

Paul Douglas Holsinger Paul was born in Marion Ohio to his parents, Charles W. and M. Ruth Holsinger, he was called home to be with the Lord on May 10, 2026 at the age of 80.

Paul graduated from Harding High School in June 1963 and in July of ‘63, at the age of 17, he joined the Army. He was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne and served in the US intervention of the Dominican Republic civil war from 1965-1966. He was honorably discharged in 1966 and returned to Marion where he met Patricia Loper. They were married in 1968 and spent fifty-eight wonderful years together. They enjoyed playing softball and were on multiple teams throughout the years. Paul even coached Pat and their daughter’s team for a time and taught his son to pitch. Paul was also in bowling leagues at Star and Plaza lanes. He picked up golfing for a time. His favorite hobby was collecting antiques, which he and Pat did together, making many friends in the RS Prussia circle and bringing long time friends, Peg and John Imboden, along. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion 584, and a lifetime member of the VFW 7201. Paul worked at United Facilities in Marion for 24 years until its closing, then he worked at Whirlpool for 18 years until he retired in 2009. He enjoyed keeping his yard perfectly manicured and never met a weed he didn't kill. While Paul enjoyed his hobbies and collections, he loved his family more than anything. What he enjoyed most was spoiling his kids, doting on his grandkids, picking out lovely gifts for Pat, hosting family get-togethers, and passing dirty in a family game of euchre.

Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia, his two children; Angie (Steve) Braun, son, Aaron Holsinger, and Daughter-in-law, Jenny, his grandchildren; Josh (Emily King) Braun, Meg-Ann (Travis) Belobrajdic, Lindsey (Lee) Emenhiser, Nick (Rachel) Braun, and Avery, Aidan, Abigail, Annabelle, & Adelae Holsinger, his great-grandchildren; Elara, Theron, Cora, Aida, Kellan, Blaze, and Iris, plus brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers Joe, Eric, Harold, and Gene Holsinger, and two nieces, Jodi Kay and Missi Holsinger.
