Paula Ann (Reed) Gibson

Paula Ann (Reed) Gibson, age 75 of Marion, passed away on Friday July 9, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Paula was born on December 16, 1945, to the late John and Dora (Fitzpatrick) Reed in Martin, KY. On September 26, 1964, she married her much beloved, late husband Howard Gibson in Clintwood, VA.

Paula was a member of the White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church in Marion, OH. Paula Worked for 28 years as a LPN and retired from the Marion Juvenile Detention Center. Paula enjoyed attending church, singing, cooking, spending time with her family, sewing, hunting, fishing with her husband Howard, and visiting her sisters in Kentucky.

Paula was preceded in death by her loving husband Howard of 56 years and two sisters: Donna (Marcus) Gibson and Barbara (Edsel) Moore.

Those who will cherish her memories include Son, Jeff (Marvel) Gibson, daughter, Alisa (Devin) Needles, sisters, Billie (Lloyd Ray) Napier and Sylvia (John) Keese, grandchildren; Jeff (Kim) Gibson, II, Mackenzie (Ryan) Crisler, Jerrod Gibson, Alayna (Cody) Bartes, Hali (Corey) Galyk, Alex (Olivia Recht) Salyer, and Lauren (Harrison) Watkins, 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and several special friends and neighbors.

Friends and Family may call Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 11am to 12pm with the funeral service taking place at 12pm all at the White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church, with Pastor Danny Dickerson Officiating. The committal service will take place following the service at Grand Prairie Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Salt Rock Volunteer Fire Dept. in Morral, OH.
