Princie Carolyn Aiken

     Princie Carolyn Aiken, age 74, of Marion went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 12:39 AM from the Marion General Hospital. She was born in Coburn, Virginia on November 14, 1946 to the late Rufus and Corble (Dotson) Ratliff.  On January 31, 1969 she married Rev. David R. Aiken in Marion, Ohio and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2020.  Carolyn was a 1964 graduate of Harding High School and went on to graduate from Ohio State University in 1969 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Welfare. She was a licenced social worker.  From 1980 until the present, Carolyn was Vice-President and  Treasurer of the Central Ohio Christian Broadcasters. Throughout her years of working she had been an EMT with the 1st Consolidated Fire District and  Case Manager for CareStar.

     She is survived by 3 sons, Richard A. Aiken of Marietta, OH., Stephen W. (Megan) Aiken of Caledonia, OH., & Jonathan D. (Victoria) Aiken of Caledonia, OH., 2 brothers, Ayers Ratliff of Wellington, OH. & J.C. (Linda) Ratliff of Marion, OH., a sister, Reta Rutherford of Marion, OH., and 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Rachelle, Chase, Kayleigh, Chloe, Andrew, & Blake.

     Friends may call at TV 39, 1282 N. Main St., Marion, OH. on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM. Rev. Brent Layne will conduct the funeral service on Friday at 1:00 PM at TV 39 with burial to follow in the North Caanan Cemetery. Donations in Carolyn’s name may be made to TV 39 Broadcasting.
