Raymond F. Rush, Jr.

Raymond F. Rush, Jr., age 76 of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023. On January 13, 1947, he was born in Marion to the late Raymond F. Rush, Sr., and Rose (Rinderle) Rush, and on November 20, 1965, he married the love of his life, Carolyn (Johnson).

Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Army as part of the Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was a 1965 graduate of Marion Harding High School, and later earned his associate degree from Marion Technical College. Above all else, he loved his family, and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Rush; his son John (Chad) Rush; his daughter Susan (David) Nielsen; his daughter-in-law Marianne Rush; his sister Robin (Rod) Rush Alderman; his sister-in-law Shelley Rush; his grandchildren Matthew Nielsen, Mark Nielsen, Emma Nielsen, and Benjamin Rush; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Rose, his son David Rush, and his brother Randy Rush.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11 am at the Boyd Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in LaRue.
