Richard "Ric" Ross Chivington

Richard “Ric” Chivington, age 69, passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2025. He was born to the late Red and Joan (Hoffman) Chivington in May of 1955, in Marion, Ohio. He was a graduate of Marion Harding High School (Class of ’73) and went on to work at Honda of America Mfg. for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed collecting cars and listening to his impressive collection of music. His dry and witty sense of humor would always leave people chuckling. Ric was also a dog lover and always had at least three or four at a time in his care over the years. He was most proud of his only granddaughter, Grace, who he doted on every chance he had.

Ric was preceded in death by his parents, Red and Joan, and his brother, Scott Chivington.

He leaves behind his sister, Nancy Chivington, his brother, Neil (Sandy) Chivington, his longtime friend, Carol Chivington, their daughter, Autumn (Matt) Owdom, their granddaughter, Grace Owdom, many beloved nieces and nephews, and the Springdale Gang: Hicks, Rousey, JJ, and Dolly.

A memorial service will be held on January 23, 2025, at the Boyd Funeral Home in Marion, OH from 5 to 7 pm.
