Robert "Bob" Cellar

     Robert E. “Bob” Cellar, age 80, of Caledonia, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at 9:06 PM in the Marion General Hospital.  He was born in Delaware, Ohio on May 13, 1941 to the late John and Loretta (Keeran) Cellar.  Bob married the former Geraldine “Gerrie” Hampton on June 20, 1962 in Marion and she preceded him in death on August 11, 2016. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Minnich, and 3 brothers, Harry, Ronald, & Richard Cellar.  

     Bob was employed for over 20 years as a forklift operator for General Mills / Pillsbury Corp. before his retirement. He is survived by a son, Jimmie (Michelle Near) Cellar of Caledonia, OH., a brother, Ralph Cellar of  Marion, OH., 2 sisters, Delores Manley of Galion, OH. & Margaret Waterer of Marion, OH., 7 grandchildren, Tony (Jacia) Cellar, Kristy (Caleb) Black, Amber (Levi) Hendel, Heather (JC) Sisson, Cohan Cellar, Korie Near, & Brice Near, and 5 great granddaughters.

     Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Friday, August 27, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Nathan McBeth will conduct the funeral service in the funeral home on Saturday the 28th at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Contributions in Bob’s name may be made to the Am. Heart Association or to the Am. Cancer Society.
