Ronald Jackson Sr. Obituary

Ronald Dean Jackson Sr.

On April 9th, 2026, Ronald Dean Jackson Sr departed from this physical world, but his spirit yet lives.

Ron enjoyed almost all sports. He was especially passionate about football, basketball, and baseball. He always had a pool table, dart board, and horseshoes at the house.

It seems that Ron found purpose in life by cultivating his little piece of the world, putting it in order, and filling it with the people, and things that he loved. He was very particular about how he ordered this space; landscaping and planting flowers around his house. Always had bonfires, and barbecues. Loved being outside in the sun, camping, and fishing. He seemed intent on creating a safe space where his loved ones could gather, thrive, and take joy in what life has to offer. Including a vast amount of friends, and of course the dogs ....he loved his dogs. I can't stress enough, how many people gathered in this space, regularly. Also, a big part of this space and who Ron was, was his brother (Uncle Gary).  The Inseparable Brothers. (Gary provided all the good food ....if ya know, ya know).

Sadly, tragedy arose in our lives when Ron was only 46 years old. In keeping up with his "stubborn character" he definitely put up "one heck of a fight".  We are deeply saddened by the loss of his presence, but we are also comforted that he now knows peace. That he is now in 'His Father's House'.

Ron was born to Kenneth Eugene Jackson and Dorothy M. Merryman, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James “Jim” Jackson (Nancy), Gary Jackson, and Larry Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children, Charizma Orzaia Vollmer; Kenny Jackson (Lauren); and Ronald Jackson Jr. (Brittany Yates). He also had a few “acquired children”: Autumn Spicer, Walter Kehren, Randy and Jay Blevins, Lacey Foreman, Joe Powers, and Josh Gamble…Ron wasn’t always thrilled with a few of these, but it was definitely a “package deal.”

Ron was a proud grandfather to Chytasia Kelly (Mason Manley), Cazmirah, and Corzaia, and a great-grandfather to Armani and Alyric.

He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Showalter (George) and Sondra Ricksecker (Jim), as well as his former wife and mother of his children, Bridget Jones, and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Ron’s life was defined by his strength, his loyalty, and the space he created for others to feel at home. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
