Rose Ann Meachem

Rose Ann Meachem, age 78 of Marion, passed away on September 12, 2023 at Avita Bucyrus Hospital.

Rose was born on April 9, 1945 to the late Joseph and Ruby (Burkett) Howell in Floyd, Kentucky.  On September 23, 1974, she married the late Albert Meachem in Clintwood, Ohio.

She loved to read novels.  In her younger days, she would dress up as a clown for church and other events to entertain children.  Rose will truly be missed by family and friends.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Meachem; her sons, Daniel Meachem and Mike Collins; her daughter, Sue Meachem; her granddaughter, Lyndsey Leah Lewis and her sister, Erma Jean Slone.

Those who will cherish her memories includer her sons: Don (Ruby) Meachem, Rick Meachem, Terry Meachem, Joey Meachem and Lenny Meachem; her daughters: Debbie (Doug) Smith, Judy (Joe) Gaylk, Becky (Ron) English, Barb Gibson and Shirley Frasure; her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Friends and family may come to honor Rose’s life on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 11am to 1pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow starting at 1pm at the funeral home.  A burial will follow service at Grand Prairie Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Rose’s memory to the choice of the donor.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Meachem family.
