Ruey Mullins Obituary
Ruey R. Mullins, age 60 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his residence. On April 7, 1958, he was born to Layton Mullins and Geneva (Malone) Roy in Marion, and on January 21, 1982, he married his wife Karen (Johnson) Mullins.
Ruey enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating, as well as gardening and cooking. He spent 15 years as a heavy equipment operator at International Mill Service through Nucor Steel Co.
He is survived by his wife Karen Mullins of Marion; his mother Geneva Roy; his son Bryan Coolbaugh of Marion; his daughters Sherry (Lloyd) Meade, Dorothy Lovell, Tara (Robert) Smith, and Sara (Eric) Morris, all of Marion; his brothers Howard Mullins of Marion and Tom (Mary) Mullins of Kodak, Tennessee; his sisters Jackie (Jack) Andrews of Marion and Pam (Keith) Cogan of Hendersonville, Tennessee; his grandchildren Shawn, Shane, Ashley, Kensie, Ryan, Audriella, Cameron, Cash, Justin, Alexis, and David; and his great-grandchildren Parker, Lily, and Addyson.
He was preceded in death by his father Layton Mullins and his son Layton R. Mullins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 10 am to 1 pm at Marion Enterprise Baptist Church, 130 Orton St., Marion. Services will take place at the church at 1 pm with Pastor Jim McIntire officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
