Ruth M. Waddle, age 90, of Marion went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 3:01 PM from the Presidential Post Acute. She was born on December 6, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA. Ruth married John Edward Waddle on May 15, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA. and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2009 in Marion, OH. She is survived by a son, James A. (Stephanie) Waddle of Prospect, OH., a daughter, Carol (Andre’) D’Artagnan of Galion, OH., a brother, Chuck Pierce of Philadelphia, PA., a sister, Anna (Al) Del Sorto of New Jersey, 6 grandchildren: Amber Day, Tim Waddle, Michelle Kelly, Michael Waddle, Justin Waddle, and Kristen Waddle, and 7 great grandchildren: Alex Kelly, Zach Kelly, Mason Kelly, Peyton Miller, Emma Western, Stella Waddle, and Maverick Waddle. Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Waddle.
Ruth was a lifelong homemaker and past member of Eagles Lodge #337 and Moose Lodge # 889.
Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday following the visitation at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
