Scott Gregory Arnold, 65, of Morral, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on October 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer and Parkinson’s disease.
Born July 28, 1960, in Marion, Ohio, Scott was a proud graduate of Ridgedale High School, Class of 1979, where he played football and baseball and even held the home run record for a time. Throughout his life, Scott wore many hats—hardworking professional, devoted family man, community leader, and cherished friend.
He worked with the NHRA, Glenn-Gary Brick, Tecumseh, and was the proud owner and operator of Nuthin’ Fancy Signs and Designs in Morral. Scott also served his community as a volunteer firefighter for the Salt Rock Fire Department and as Mayor of Morral, Ohio, for one term—roles that reflected his deep love for his hometown.
Scott’s passion for life extended beyond work and public service. He was involved with the HMO Softball Team in Marion, a longtime member of the former Marion Moose Lodge, and active in the Dirty Dozen Truck Club (Marion, OH) and Triangle Motorcycle Club (Harpster, OH). Wherever he went, Scott brought people together with his humor, generosity, and love for good company.
