Sheryl Lee (Dean) Keller

Sherry Keller passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, facing it with grace and gratitude. Born October 3, 1953, she was a member of, and baptized at, Mt. Vernon Avenue Church of Christ. 

She is survived by her son Shawn (Holly) Keller, Dublin, Ohio; daughter Michelle (Clay) Tillman, Marion, Ohio; grandchildren: Alex (Matt) Schaber, Jacquelynne Haycox, Zach (Sophie) Keller, Ryleigh Tillman, Kaycee Tillman, and Elise Young; great-grandchildren: Avianna, Zayden, Ronan, Haisley, Karter and Autzen; her nieces and nephews: Courtney, Sam, Angela, Chris and Brian.

She was preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and Marilyn Dean; her siblings, Carol Lynn Dean (twin), LeRoy C. Dean, Jr., and Lori Beth Hostetter.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sherry’s life on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

A dedicated office administrator, she led Holbrook and Manter’s staff for 40 years, retiring in 2023. Her “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” ethos inspired all. She created lasting memories and traditions—scary movies with her children, Cedar Point trips, campground adventures, grandkid sleepovers, and her playful “Fear Factor” games. She was also an avid Buckeye football fan. As the ultimate “kid transport,” she attended every event, cherishing time with her “chics.”

Squirrels were her spirit animal, often visiting her, even through window screens. Sherry was always ready to share a cup of coffee. She was Shawn’s ‘Mama’, Michelle’s shopping pal, Holly’s reading buddy, Zach’s “Regular Grandma,” Ryleigh’s “Granny,” and Jacquelynne and Alex’s “G-ma.” She loved her grand-pups and grand-kitties, always getting them Christmas presents and spoiling them with food. Family holidays overflowed with noodles, mashed potatoes, and fruit pizza, her happiest moments when all gathered.

A selfless caregiver, she worried for others even while in hospice care. On her last communicative night, hearing family laughter, she smiled and said, “The laughter. I just love the laughter.”

She will be deeply missed.
