Sue Diane (Moran) Seckel

Sue Diane Seckel, age 77, of Marion passed away at her home on April 23, 2026. Sue was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Otis Eugene Moran and Dorothy Faye Pipes. After her high school graduation Sue entered the Job Corps Center in Astoria, Oregon where she completed many training programs. She then moved to Marion, Ohio where she started work at Marion General Hospital. Sue did multiple different jobs there until her retirement after 44 years.

Sue loved shopping and being with her family. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, taking walks, and visiting her sister and friends.

Left to cherish Sue’s memory are daughters, Tabitha and Shannon Seckel, sisters, Judy Bond, Sharon Cline, and Mary Griffith, grandchildren, Jacob Reynolds, Alexandra Seckel and Brent Millisor, Great Aunt, Mary Ebert along with many great friends.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation of Sue on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 5pm until 7pm at the Boyd Funeral Home with the Funeral Service starting at 7pm. In lieu of flowers Sue has asked that donation be made in her honor to the National MS Society. The interment of Sue’s cremated remains will take place at a later date at the Hopewell Cemetery in Knox County. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Sue Diane Seckel in their time of mourning.
