Teruko Mories

Teruko Mories, age 85 of Marion, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Kingston Residence of Marion. On November 29, 1937, she was born in Charanka-Cho, Saipan, to the late Jiro and Shizu Uezu, and on May 14, 1961, she married her late husband, Floyd E. Mories.

Terry was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed Bingo and exploring Okinawa traditional dance with the Okinawa Tomonokai of Ohio.

She is survived by her daughters Rika (Mike) Allen of Wyandot, Ohio, Deborah (Allen) Thompson of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and Catherine (Jon) Farnsworth of Delaware, Ohio; her sister Katsuko Iso; her seven grandchildren Candace (Boe) Graf, Tara (Kenny) Wippich, Nicole (Mike) Miller, Michael (Tiffany) Thompson, Zachary Thompson, Jacob Farnsworth, and Cooper Farnsworth; and her great-grandchildren Jordan, Ashley, Corbin, Robert, Laykan, Sofia, Ethan, Ella, Kinlee, and Damien.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd E. Mories, her brother Kasuo Uezu, her sister Yoshiko Kinjo, and her parents Jiro and Shizu.

Calling hours will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm at the Marion Cemetery.
