Troy Neal Moore

Troy Moore, age 40, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2021 due to illness. Troy was born October 4, 1980, to Mineffe and Janice (Lucas) Moore, in Marion, Ohio. In 2007, Troy married Rebecca Siders, and they welcomed their son Troy Jr into their lives in 2008.

Troy graduated from Marion Harding High School, Class of ’99. After high school, Troy worked for Whirlpool for over 20 years. When he was not at work, Troy could be found either hunting or fishing. One of his proudest moments was when Troy Jr. got his first deer. Troy loved traveling to Canada for fishing trips with his friends. He also loved trucks. The saying “the bigger the better” was how he ranked his trucks. Troy loved to fix things, not only for himself, but for his friends or anybody that asked him. The hardest word for him to say was “NO.” Troy’s family would like you to know that Troy was a loving and devoted man to his wife, children, family and friends.

Troy is survived by his parents, wife, children, Troy Jr. and Makenzey Schifer, mother-in-law Janet Siders, and siblings, Kim and Delmar Moore, Vernie and Maurice Williams, Brenda Moore, Amanda and Mike Wilson, Carrie and Mark McClain, Drew and Ashley Moore, Anna Johnson, Curtis Johnson and Hank and Michaela Williams

Troy is preceded in death by Jenny Williams.

Friends and family may call Friday, June 11, 2021, from 5pm to 8pm at the Boyd Funeral Home, with the funeral taking place Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 4pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. The committal service will take place immediately following the service at Chapel Heights Cemetery.
