Troy Risner

Troy Risner, age 73, passed away on October 3, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born on June 16, 1951 to the late RB and Lena Risner (Howard) in Salyersville, KY. On June 24, 1972 Troy married the love of his life Diana Murphy and the two shared 52 years of marriage together.

Troy retired from Honda after 20 years of service. When at home, he enjoyed gardening and keeping up his yard. Troy was a big Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan. He also loved attending his grandchildren’s school and sporting events. He loved spending time with his family. Troy had a big heart and would do whatever he could to help someone in need.

Troy is preceded in death by son, Jason Troy Risner, brothers, Harding, Noy, and Don Risner, and sister, Annis Blair.

Troy is survived by his loving wife Diana, daughters, Traci (Brad) Higgins and Crystal (Chad) Smith, brother Roy Risner and four grandchildren, Ryne, Hailey, Addi and Lincoln.

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation for Troy on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 11am until 1pm with the funeral service for Troy starting at 1pm all at the Boyd Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio. The committal service will take place at Fairview Cemetery in LaRue, Ohio immediately following the funeral service.
