Virginia Lou Klingel, age 94, Westerville Ohio, passed away at home on July 5th, 2021. She was born in Marion, Ohio on May 24, 1927 to Wilbur and Mary Ellen (Brady) Klingsley. Virginia was preceded in death by her soul mate, golf partner, and husband of more than 67 years, Charles William Klingel; four brothers, Ernie, Harold, Dick and Kenny; a sister Irma Scherer.
Surviving are son; Kevin (Sonia) Klingel; Grandson Andrew Klingel and Mariah Guthrie. Virginia was Aunt Ginny to her nieces and nephews that she loved very much. She was a very talented golfer for many years. She participated in and won many local golf league titles. She was a long time member of Green Acres Golf Course along with her friend Pat Schertzer. Virginia was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted by the Boyd Funeral Home, calling hours are Friday, July 9th, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. followed by a 1:00 p.m. service officiated by Kevin Kehn of the Emanuel Lutheran Church. Entombment service will be held in the Marion Cemetery Mausoleum. Heartfelt gratitude and love to Mariah for her courage and strength that was more help than we could ever find the words to describe.
